Andrew Molera Summer Meeting Photos

Our Camp!

Welcome to the Horse Camp! Host of the Summer Meeting 2000 at Andrew Molera State Park. We had a great time, and hope that you enjoy viewing our picture album.
We were able to camp on what Delaine lovingly refered to as the "Mother Tree" It was a beautiful, gigantic Sycamore. I think this tree was just meant for a tree house with huge expansive branches that begged to be climbed. It provided wonderful shade for our hearth tents, and helped to guard agains some of the wind, which is prevelent on the coast.
As you can see, we took up quite a bit of space (2 fire rings, and 3 picnic tables) as well as that great tree. I truely believe we had THE MOST desirable campsite of the whole area. Thanks again to Delaine, of the Wolf Hearth, for arrive a day early and staking claim to the site for us. :)
We spent most of Friday just setting up and getting to know one another. Helping people unload their things and pack it all into the campground.
Cooking was a large part of the meeting, with so many people, we just ate comunally with everyone trying to contribute something to the overall meals. We have decided that this is the best and most efficient (not to mention fun!) way to do things, and will be incorporated into all future meetings.
Projects and activities wound down by nightfall, with light fading...
We sat around talking, drinking tea or coffee...
and "Telling Lies" by the fireside! :) Some people did take the light of the fire to work on various projects, and we all had fun swapping stories.
